Conroy - WCA- Central Mass Kathy Dobash- WCA-Phila Virginia Dragschutz--WCA St. Louis, MO Marie Elcin- WCA-Phila Virginia Gledhill - WCA Philadelphia - Gledhill co-produced two Philadelphia Fringe Festival events at the "Ethical Society" in Philadelphia: she was the art director and a performer in the creative project and short film titled "This way out".
- Veronica Gledhill was born in Philadelphia PA. From Chestnut Hill to GreysFerry, the childhood city neighborhoods she lived in and explored were rich in various cultures and economic diversity.
- Her art reflects that range of experience as her painting subjects can be the still beauty of a person, place, object or an abstract expression or most eclectic, a sometimes stark allegorical image.
Jo Grishman- OWCA- Oregon Martha Knox - Phila- WCA Rebecca Kramer - WCA Bonnie MacAllister- WCA-Phila and WCA/DC Debbie MacCarthy - WCA-Phila (NJ) Virginia Maksymowicz- WCA-Phila - Virginia Maksymowicz (b.1952, New York City) is a sculptor currently living in Philadelphia PA. In 1973 she recieved a B.A. in Fine Arts from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and an M.F.A in Visual Arts from the University of California, San Diego. She has exhibited her work at the Franklin Furnace, Alterntative Museum, the Elizabeth Foundation and Grey Gallery in New York City, as well as in college, university, and nonprofit galleries throughout the US and abroad. She is scheduled for a solo show at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts in May 2008.
- Virginia is a past recipient of a Nathonal Endowment for the Arts fellowship in sculpture (1984) and over the years has been honored with numerous other grants and awards. Her artwork has been reviewed in Sculpture Magazine, The New York Times, New York Newsday, The New Art Examiner and the Philadelphia Inquirere. Her series, The History of Art, appears on the cover of The Female Body, published by the University of Michigan Press in 1991.
- In the fall of 2006 she was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome and during May of 2007, a fellow at the Vermont Studio centere.
- Maksymowicz has been a visiting professor of art at a variety of colleges and universities throughout the United States, including Oberlin College in Ohio, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. She is currently Associate Professor of Art at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster PA.
Karin Morris- WCA-Phila - My name is Karin Morris and I am a member of WCA-Philadelphia. In fact, I attended the meetings when the Rubia Project was presented. Therefore, it gives me great pleasure to extend a creative hand in support of this project.
- Since childhood, I have always enjoyed painting with oils in warm earth tones. Generally, my paintings present a positive message of love, hope, and peace. The title of my square is " Help me Out of the Bottle".
